Summer Vacation 2025: Official Dates
- Start of Summer Vacation: June 5, 2025
- End of Summer Vacation: August 1, 2025
- Schools Reopen: Monday, August 4, 2025
- Reason for Schedule: The break is planned to protect students from the peak summer heat and to align with national education calendars.
New School Timings from August 2025
With the reopening, the FDE has announced revised school timings to better accommodate students during the hot weather:
- Single-Shift Schools:
- Monday to Thursday: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM
- Friday: 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM
- Double-Shift Schools:
- Morning Shift: 7:30 AM – 1:30 PM (Mon–Thu), 7:30 AM – 12:30 PM (Fri)
- Evening Shift: 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM (Mon–Thu), 2:30 PM – 7:00 PM (Fri)
Activities During Summer Break
- Homework Assignments: Students were given summer homework to keep them engaged.
- Teacher Training: Teachers participated in training sessions to enhance classroom skills.
- Maintenance: Schools used the break for repair and maintenance work.
- Open Facilities: Libraries and IT labs remained accessible for students interested in academic enrichment.
Special Notes for Students and Parents
- BS & ADP Classes: Higher education programs (BS & ADP) continued as per regular schedules, ensuring no disruption for university-level students.
